The girls
Whitney and Spice will be retiring as breeding queens after the 2010 season but we are keen to see one more litter from each as they are both fantastic mums and tend to retain great condition throughout. Born 8 November 2004 to Admewsh Tigra Tendertouch (dam) and Druimbeg Baron (sire), they are notable not only for their beauty but for their outgoing friendliness.
Vonvarda Whitney - "Wit"
Brown spotted
Always the explorer, Wit is probably the most inquisitive of our girls. Quite the poser, too - as you can see.
She produces our largest litters and is
a tremendously attentive mother, who cares for her babies well over and above herself.
That's not to say that she doesn't breathe a sigh of relief once they start
to wean and litter train!
Vonvarda Hot Spice - "Spice"
Brown spotted
Spicy, as her name implies, keeps things interesting around the Bengatage cattery.
Never at a loss for words, she is an extrovert and chosen spokeswoman for the group.
Vonvarda Phoenix - "Feenie"
Brown spotted
Phoenix was only just a few months old when she arrived at Bengatage Bengals in August of 2006, having been born on 5 May 2006 to Druimbeg Amazon (dam) and the very beautiful and commended Admewsh Lubo Leeper (sire).
Growing up around the much older sisters (see above) has ensured that Feenie pretty much takes things in her stride. Chilled out and lovable are two traits that come to mind. Her spots are also less densely clustered than the sisters, giving her an altogether different look.
Baby Hope
Korshki Precious Hope - "Hope"
Brown spotted
When we began our search for another breeding girl in May of 2008, we were not expecting to find such a breath-takingly beautiful and loving creature with such gorgeous rosetting quite so close to home. But we were lucky enough to find Hope at Korshki Bengals near Dumfries. Born 1 April 2008, she is nothing short of magical. Her first litter was small but immaculately ornate and friendly.
Bengatage Isis - "Isis"
Brown spotted
Vonvarda Phoenix - "Feenie"
Brown spotted
Born on the 30th of June 2008 to Whitney & Hustler, Isis was a masterpiece in the making. Her markings as a kitten held a tremendous amount of promise and we have not been let down, as her beautiful pelt-like coat seems to change and reform as each month goes by. She is inordinately friendly (like mum) and promiscuously cheeky (like dad). Her first litter, although small, was gorgeous. We expect great things from this little girl.
Growing up around the three sisters has given her a pretty laid-back approach to life. In terms of markings, her spots are less densely clustered than the other three and more suggestive of rosettes.
Bengatage Karmina - "Carmen"
Brown spotted
We have been very picky in continuing with our breeding lines but Carmen was just too good to be true - born on the 20th of April 2009 to Whitney & Harvey, she boasts the beautiful glitter of her mother and the amazing rosetting of her father.
Although she has yet to call, we are already very excited to see what happens with her first litter in 2010.
Bengatage Magdalena - "Lainey"
Brown spotted
What a cheeky little girl! With her mum's joie de vivre and her dad's attitude, Lainey is a little dervish in the cattery.
Born of Hope & Hustler on the 9th of August 2009, she's still just a baby and up to all sorts of kittenish antics that are keeping the older girls on their toes.
Keep an eye out for this one's babies - they are sure to be stunning.
